Usage of the Library

Everybody can use the services of Pärnu Central Library. The requirement for admission to the Library is library card or ID-card that give the right to use all the services provided by the Library. The library card is issued on the basis of a document provided with a photograph and  personal identity number. The charge for the library card is 20 EEK. Discount (10 EEK) is valid for pupils, students and pensioners.

• Outdoor clothes are left in the cloakroom
• Cases and the carrier bags lager than A4 size are left in the cloakroom
• No eating, drinking, speaking with mobile phones and smoking is allowed in the service area of the library

• Home lending
• Research literature
• Fiction
• Literature for children and teenagers
• Newspapers and magazines
• CD-s and the other sound carriers, printed music
• EU, Council of Europe and NATO Info Sections
• Internet Access Point
• Free of charge WiFi area all over the library
• Photocopies from the the library materials

• Overdue charge is 1 EEK per day
• Compensation for lost and a damaged book is 10x its price or its replacement with the book of the same value
